Highly Recommend. It's the best product I've used.
My organization is a private high school which operates similarly to a small college. We use RE-NXT for our fundraising efforts. RE-NXT makes it so easy for our gift officers to find the information they need about their prospects quickly and efficiently. List generation is a breeze and so easy to share. Attachments are easy to access as well.
- The Work Center for our fundraisers gives a fantastic snapshot of past due actions and overdue pledges. Clicking on the number brings up a detailed list with the ability to add Actions straight from the list.
- NXT's ability to customize dashboards and insights gives me the ability to report on statistics that my team needs. The visuals are compelling and helpful.
- List generation is incredibly easy. The filters are easy to use, and one the list is made, can easily be exported or shared.
- The tribute module is only available in database view.
- I'm not a fan of having to manage table entries in RE-NXT view. It was recently moved over from database view, and finding what I need is difficult.
- The volunteer module needs to be managed in database view. You can't do anything with it starting in RE-NXT.

User-friendly software for fundraisers
I use Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT mostly for day-to-day work with the fundraising part of my job. I still rely on Raiser's Edge (database) for most gift entries. I do like that Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT offers a way to automatically process monthly gifts with credit cards or bank (direct debit) with "a few clicks." It's nice to have that reliability and security for those gifts. I do wish they would figure out a way to do auto-pay with pledges. I use "Lists" a lot, it's user-friendly but very linear. As my job duties change, I feel I will be using it more, especially managing a portfolio.

We use Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT as our one-stop database for our donor information. Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT allows us to easily access the information that we need quickly, and even allows for personal customization of the ordering of the information - allowing users to see the information they need to do their specific work.

University alumni and foundation use
Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is used for fundraising by development staff and for record management of donations and pledges received. We track proposals/opportunities for various campaigns, actions taken by development team and university with the donors. We analyze data for giving to better suit our asks to constituent interests. We have event records showing who is attending. We pull lists based on data points and/or location of constituent.
Rating is not high at this point due to limited ability for pulling data - not all data points can be used to filter data and some report results vary from same data pull using traditional database. When fully developed it will be a powerful tool for development work.

Great CRM but not 100% there yet
We use NXT as our CRM and marketing platform. We use the database for a wide array of things including: creating mailing lists, managing user contact information, prospect research, fiscal reporting, communications emails, and gift tracking. Personally, I touch on most of these myself since I am the data manager for the platform. Users come to me when something isn't working or they don't know how to do something.

- Customer support is responsive
- Online processing is a fairly smooth process
- Reporting tools are not flexible enough to cover our needs
- The import/update tools do not cover all data points (e.g. fund relationships)
- If there isn't a way to do something in RE, you're forced to come up with your own solution - support does not help in this regard
I use Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT on a daily basis. Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is a cloud-based system which means our users can access it from anywhere there is internet access. We keep track of all of our existing and potential donors, their giving, their contact information, and everything we need to best insure that we are able to thank our donors and help them feel that they are important to and valued by us.

New but loving Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT
Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT allows our department to manage donor data from donations to contact information to actions. The easy-to-use reports give us an up-to-the-moment snapshot of our campaigns and funds. As a team of 4, the time we have is limited and the built in reporting, ease of data entry, and the quick-build forms and events allow us to utilize our time most efficiently.

- Tech issues sometimes take a while to resolve. Usually these are minor glitches that are annoying and do not harm functionality
- It is not as easy to pull a detailed list as it is in the traditional database view of Raiser's Edge

The product that does it all!
We use NXT daily! It is our primary CRM system, which contains all of our donor and prospect information. It connects with our database where we can pull reports. The system allows us to put in all constituent data and information and updates for digital and phone communications, along with gift data.

Best CRM for non-profits, but needs improvements
Our organization uses Blackbaud Raisers Edge for our CRM for fundraising, events, action tracking, donor contact, marketing and financials. It is used by Development, Finance, and Program Outreach. It accurately tracks fundraising numbers and constituent interactions so hundreds of employees can be aware of such actions and not "step on each other's toes". Biographical information is easy to enter and update and using Queries and Exports is fairly simple.

Blackbaud Raiser's Edge helps our organization track incoming donations, pledges, and capture information related to donors and volunteers. We use Raiser's Edge to capture important information such as giving history, relationships, and meeting notes. We have thousands of donors and volunteers with our organization, meaning we have A LOT of data to capture. Raiser's Edge is built to capture this information in an organized and logical manner.

Thoughts from a new RE NXT user
We use Raiser's Edge NXT to store all of our constituent and gift data for fundraising at a college. The RE database view allows our research and advancement services teams to view granular data and the NXT web-view is useful for our gift officers to enter contact reports and view an overview of ratings and gift information for their prospects.
- Pulling lists with very specific qualifiers
- NXT view is friendly for non-technical users
- Able to create limited reports within NXT
- Too many fields end up in Attributes because there is no other good place for them
- Some attributes do not have the option to export the most recent update to that field
- Complex exports can take way too long or just crash and never finish.

I use it for donor management to record activity and engagement, to select prospective donors and drive fundraising. I use it to connect and interact with donors and corporate partners. This is my reference when identifying potential and untapped donors to determine their giving capacity. I use the data analytics for recommendations.

A fundraising CRM built for fundraisers
Blackbaud has done an outstanding job simplifying its flagship product, The Raiser's Edge. NXT is intuitive and easy to use, especially after having used the classic program. Like any good CRM it's cloud-based and can be accessed from anywhere and doesn't require installation of additional software or VPN. We use NXT to manage constituent relationships, including their communication preferences, and also use it for Events, gift processing and reporting.

- The out-of-box dashboard/reports are helpful and insightful, and push to best practice

Raiser's Edge NXT- A Review
We use NXT to manage our donor database and track gifts we receive, gifts pending, etc. Helps our development officers keep their portfolios efficient and productive. Helps our database manager produce reports showing progress. Helps our gift processing team import gift data
- Track gifts by event, campaign, appeal, etc.
- Allows us to easily organize portfolios and track donors
- Is user friendly for our development officers which leads to them utilizing the platform more than before our transition to NXT
- It was a bit of a transition for our development officers - there is a lot NXT can do and getting familiar with all of those functions can take a while
- I prefer working in database view and find it easier to pull reports and make changes to records in that view
- Confusion over the purpose of the list function has tripped us up and we tend to use query and export in database view instead

Leaves a lot to be desired. Not user friendly or intuitive! Huge time vampire for small organizations.
We use Raiser's Edge NXT as a donor management tool within our small foundation. This told helps us track constituent interactions and donations. We have about 3,000 donors.
- Tracking various donations though funds, appeals and campaigns.
- Automating pledges is not user-friendly - you have to manually run reports and apply donations to pledge payments.
- You still have to use the 1990s-looking backend of the software when using Raiser's Edge NXT.
- Creating and saving letters from the database is not user friendly.

I use Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT every day to look up my donor's information we have stored on the software. Using NXT allows me access to not only their address, and phone numbers but also to their last pledges and payments along with media that is attached to their account.

Cautiously optimistic
It is our CRM for fundraising. We use it to track gifts, manage donor and prospect engagement, plan engagement based on analytics and develop solicitations in part on history tracked on RE. We need more help in identifying major gift prospects and a better way to track and calendar engagement on best prospects.
- Tracks history of gifts and makes it easy to see giving over time, also good at organizing and accessing complete constituent information around contact information, displaying gifts with date and designations, restrictions etc..
- NXT provides easy access to analytics and reports to share for specific dates etc. to support decision making and planning
- Display format and organization of analytical information is very intuitive and easy to navigate and helpful in developing reports for presentations.
- Wealth information to identify constituents including donors and prospects regarding their capacity to give is not readily available and should be part of the package.
- Should be able to move information back and forth from other platforms like Imodules.
- Running queries is more complicated than it should be and recommendations vary between RE support staff and website.
- Finding the right RE/NXT Courses to take is very complicated and time consuming to sift through; it’s too difficult to find a RE staff person knowledgeable to make recommendations. I feel I am on my own to find the courses I need and so delay taking class.

Still disappointing with only a small amount of functionality that exists in RE database view!
Our organization migrated from the older version of Raiser's Edge to NXT about three years ago and has slowly increased its use. I would say about half of our team uses NXT and the other half prefers to work in the older (database) version. It has a few handy reporting features and is easier to navigate for some of our team as they work with donors to the organization.
- Quicker to look up donor information.
- Linkable information for easy moving from one constituent to another.
- I can create quick reports for the team to view with a click.
- It's missing 85% of the functionality of the database view, which is why I can't really use it as the DBA.
- There are not enough fields built into Lists or Reporting to make them adequately functional.
- NXT does not have the Volunteer module.
- NXT is missing a connector with Luminate, which is Blackbaud's more robust online platform.

Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT: When it Works it is Great but for the Price I Expect it to be More Dependable
It is used as our system to maintain alumni records. We use the email system to maintain connections with our alumni with monthly newsletters and other announcements. From these emails, we are able to solicit our donors, inform them of alumni activity, and other opportunities that steward them to maintain a relationship with their alma mater.

The web interface offers us ease of access for basic-level users and the back-end database allows more seasoned team members to customize reporting for organizational needs. More user friendly for friendly users!
I am a daily user of NXT as a major gift officer. I use NXT to track and manage my donor portfolio, plan for future strategy actions, reference it for contact and giving information, and enter all completed donor-facing actions into NXT.
- Easy for me to use as a gift officer (action entry is very easy)
- Dashboard style of information presentation is user-friendly for basic information
- Useful for portfolio management and tracking actions and next steps
- Frequent connectivity problems that causes information to be inaccessible
- Difficult to pull some kinds of information without access to "backend"
- Preset Dashboard "tags" are not relevant and cannot be changed

The work space is used by fundraisers to assess next steps with donors in their portfolio.
